Second Chance is in need of people with a truck or van who would be available to pick up donations of cat/dog food. We Urgently Need Qualified Help--Can You Volunteer?
The sanctuary is desperately in need of someone qualified such as a veterinary technician who would be able to come in once a week and check the Sanctuary's cats' eyes, ears, rears, teeth and keep records that would indicate which cat should be receiving medication or should be seen by a Vet. If this was done, we could possibly catch some cats before they get too sick and require more medication and a longer time before they are well again. The need is for a Vet. Technician or someone who has had a lot of experience caring for cats and would know what to look for. If you or someone you know can help, please call us immediately at 905-649-8282.
If you are finding that you have some spare time on your hands, we are always in need of people to help care for the animals, transport the animals for medical care, etc.
If you can help, please download our Volunteer Summer Task List and see how you might contribute, both indoors at the Sanctuary and outdoors on the grounds.
The Sanctuary is also in need of a Fund Raiser: someone who could organize some events and bring the sanctuary more into the public eye and therefore help us meet our financial needs.
