As the city expands and the housing subdivisions are built one by one, humans encroach into previously wild areas. This means that more and more we find wild animals in our backyards, in our parks, and injured at the side of the road.  While animals tend to adapt over time to urban areas, we must also learn to coexist with our feral friends. Every one of us can make a difference if we take the time to learn how to become "animal friendly" in our cities and suburbs.
