Founder
Our late founder,
Joyce Smith, was a woman who selflessly and heroically devoted her life to helping animals in need.
Her creature friends miss her as much as we do.

Welcome to Second Chance for Cats

Our Mission
is to help homeless and needy cats.
Our Recent Adoptions

Circa 2004, changes to the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Natural Resources made it impossible for Second Chance to operate as both a wildlife rehabilitation center and shelter for domestic animals. Thereafter, Second Chance’s activities were confined to domestic animals and, presently, principally cats.

Currently,
SCWS is home to some 250 cats.

HOURS:
The sanctuary is open to the public every day,
including weekends,
from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
